At ICNA Chicago, we are deeply grateful to the community members and supporters who make our work possible. We believe every donor deserves to be treated with the highest level of respect, transparency, and accountability.

As a donor to ICNA Chicago, you have the right to:

1. Transparency & Accountability

  • Be informed of ICNA Chicago’s mission, vision, and how your donations support our programs and services.

  • Know that your donation will be used effectively, responsibly, and for the purpose you intend.

  • Access ICNA Chicago’s most recent financial statements and reports.

2. Respect & Privacy

  • Have your personal information kept strictly confidential, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Choose whether you wish to remain anonymous.

  • Decide how frequently you want to receive communications from us, or opt out at any time.

3. Recognition & Communication

  • Receive timely acknowledgment and a tax-deductible receipt for your donation.

  • Be recognized appropriately for your contributions (unless you request anonymity).

  • Be informed of the organization’s capacity to use your gift for its intended purpose.

4. Engagement & Partnership

  • Ask questions and receive prompt, truthful, and clear answers.

  • Be assured that ICNA Chicago’s leadership and board exercise prudent judgment in stewardship of resources.

  • Have opportunities to engage with ICNA Chicago through programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.

5. Integrity & Ethical Fundraising

  • Be assured that ICNA Chicago upholds Islamic values, ethical standards, and U.S. nonprofit regulations in all fundraising activities.

  • Know that ICNA Chicago will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information with other organizations.

  • Be free from pressure to make a donation — your giving should always be voluntary and inspired by your values.
