The EID Fest, organized by ICNA Chicago, is a lively celebration commemorating the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan. This festival takes place in the heart of Chicagoland, bringing together the local Muslim community and fostering unity, happiness, and a strong sense of togetherness during this particular time of the year. The concept of the Eid Fest at ICNA Chicago was born out of a deep understanding of the diverse Muslim community living in the city. Chicago is home to many individuals who have left their families and countries to pursue their dreams and build new lives. However, during the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the distance from loved ones can lead to feelings of loneliness. Recognizing this need for connection and togetherness during such a significant time of the year, ICNA Chicago embarked on the journey to create the Eid Fest.
What is Eid Fest
Eid Fest Cancellation in Solidarity with Gaza
This year, ICNA Chicago has decided not to organize Eid Fest in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza. Given the suffering and injustice they are facing, it doesn’t feel right to celebrate. We fervently pray for Allah’s (SWT) intervention to bring peace, ease their suffering, and grant them victory. Ameen.
